We are experimenting with mailing via Substack. Please reply to fbrodhead@aol.com if you receive this newsletter with formatting problems, etc. Thanks.
And a PS to what I have just written. Actually, the model that you propose is the way that the newsletter is currently formatted in the very beginning, with a brief "editorial" focused on some events of this week (usually an expansion of our Saturday vigil leaflet), followed by links to 3 or 4 articles that address the discussion in our leaflet/editorial and perhaps a related topic. What was previously formatted as "CFOW Weekly Reader" makes up the 2nd half of the newsletter, linking useful articles about topics on which CFOW is currently focused or has been in recent times. Ending the newsletter with "Comments" is part of the Substack formatting; I don't think that can be changed.
Substack is a worldwide community so therefore not really the place for the CFOW calendar of events. Our Monday vigil is going to be monthly starting in November so please don’t put that in again or any other local events.
I suggest you read other sub stack posts like Caitlin Johnstone, Robert reich, heather cox Richardson, And follow that model a short read, Followed by whatever Lynx, you used to formulate that opinion
Thank you. A very different model. As CFOW is a community-based organization, local events and a focus on issues and articles that reflect the activity and direction of CFOW have been the framework of the newsletter, to support the work of the organization. The other models for a newsletter that you mentioned do not share these concerns. It would be up to CFOW stalwarts to decide whether or not the Newsletter should abandon the current orientation for one based on an individual presentation, aimed at a "worldwide," not local audience. I myself would not be interested in working on something like that, but perhaps others would like to give it a try. More comments?

Hi Frank, commenting is already on, I think.
I am glad to be part of the tech revolution.
Please do whatever you feel comfortable with…. Thankfully we are free to read what we choose…. (For now)
